    N97 The Next Big Thing

Nokia recently gave us an insight on the up-and-coming N-series device at the Nokia World 08. Most notably the N97, a touchscreen Symbian S60 OS, with 3.5-inch touchscreen display, slide-and-tilt panel, full QWERTY keyboard, 32GB of internal memory, a 5 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, touch-enabled Nokia Maps with a digital compass, an accelerometer for auto screen rotation and a proximity sensor for auto screen turn-off during calls.

Well, I’m very tempted by this beauty cos I’m heavily into mobile IM and text messaging, a QWERTY keyboard is a must! Currently, I’m using HTC S710 smartphone and still searching for the prefect phone with QWERTY keyboard to replace the ageing S710. There are HTC S740 and HTC TyTN II on my wish list but I may also need to see where my budget allows me to go for a device.

With N96 RRP at RM33xx, N97 priced above or similiar range with N96 would be a put off. With RM3K, I could bought a very high specs notebook. And HTC S740 RRP at RM2K and HTC TyTN II at RM25xx and the latest touchscreen non-keyboard HTC Touch 3G priced at RM2K could make it to my list too. So, checkout this beauty on the two official videos below.

Palringo putting location based services into IM

I’ve been using Palringo Vocal IM for the past six months now. At first glance, it’s just a multi-platform IM services with PTT vocal and photo messaging between Palringo’s users. But Palringo never stop there, they’re evolving everyday, from its functionality, user’s interface and it’s getting better.

Back in June, I gave you a preview on what Plaringo looks like then. Today, lets give Palringo’s CEO, Kerry Ritz explains what are the buzz all about the new location based services that makes Palringo much better than other multi-platform IMs.

    Watch the video!

Kerry Ritz of Palringo from Mobile Industry Review on Vimeo (5th Nov 2008)

After watching the video, go and try it out yourself. Palringo supports most of the mobile platforms (Windows Mobile, Symbian S60 9.1/9.2, Java, iPhone, iPod Touch, Blackberry) and PC/laptops (Windows, Mac OS X, Linux). Download page.

    Also checkout Palringo’s blog page.

If Windows Live Messenger are your favorite IM but you want to try Palringo and doesn’t want to switch between two programs. No problem, just sign-in to Palringo, then add your favorite IM (WLM, Yahoo, ICQ, AIM, iChat, Gtalk, Gadu-Gadu, Jabber) all within one single program. I heard they’re testing QQ services and hopefully they can add Skype too.

There are host of groups that can be added besides the IMs. You can create your own chat room too. I’ve two chat rooms at Palringo, fortress anfield and fade to black. Feel free to joins those two groups.

Weekend Flava: I Will Be (featuring Leona Lewis)

This song was written and sung by Avril Lavigne in 2006. But never make it as an album cover due to uncertained reason. Later it was included in The Best Damn Thing limited editon album. This song also been sung by Leona Lewis in her Spirit debut album. This beautiful ballad by the punk rock queen and the sexy Leona Lewis definitely a hit for wedding song of the year. Enjoy!

Album of the month: Death Magnetic

    Rating: 4.5 out of 5

There ain’t much left for me to review on this album. Death Magnetic, Metallica’s ninth studio album after five years of soul-searching since St. Anger (2003), releases this much anticipated, long-awaited masterpiece thrash on 12 September. Do Metallica still have the edge for thrash metal? Darker, louder, edgy. Gone were the days of “Master of Puppets” and “…And Justice for All”. Why edgy? This album is almost like a band of ageing artists in their forties trying to be their twenties selfs. The truth is they can’t re-create the best era of their music from the mid-80’s.

Death Magnetic, where Metallica trying to be Metallica again. And I can’t says that they’ve succeeded, just merely got back straight on their feets. Missed the sound of metal-ballad from “The Black Album” in the 1991, where the lyrics are more sensible and justified with the music they played. “What don’t kill ya make ya more strong,” Hetfield sings, a whole new verse of energy from the frontman, has given Death Magnetic a fresher sound. The whole album lyrics were written based on the band’s past, something to do with the rehab, psychiatry, etc.

    Metallica
I always fancies their riffs and solos, from Sanitarium to One, mixed and mashed of Kirk Hammet’s rhythmic solos and James Hetfield’s powerful lead-guitar riffs. Although, Death Magnetic supposed to be lyrically theme on something about death but I can’t hardly understands. Many has criticised The Unforgiven II, which doesn’t matched it’s predecessor sound but for me, The Unforgiven III is kinda like re-visiting back Metallica’s great heydays and it was what’s really set me to get a grip on this album.

The Day That Never Comes (in HD)

The past glories can not be reclaimed with Death Magnetic, but at least this heavy-metal band are en-route to recovery.

    What the critics said:

The musicianship feels thrillingly live throughout, and nimble new bassist Robert Trujillo helps, even though he's mostly heard as a distant, ominous rumble. – Rolling Stone

Metallica certainly have a lot to prove with Death Magnetic, the follow-up to 2003’s "St. Anger," an album which divided the critics and the band’s own audience. – Hot Press

The best ones spit in the face of death; this album instead finds aging men trying to reclaim their youth. – Pitchfork

Death Magnetic at least proves that 40-something millionaires can make a valiant fist of recapturing the fury of youth. Sadly, though, it seems that Metallica will never be 20-years-old again. – Dot Music

There’s a worrying air of desperation running through the band’s lyrical choices that thankfully doesn’t spill over into the music, but it is nonetheless a frequent distraction on an otherwise fine album from a heavy metal juggernaut that might just be kicking back into gear. – Sputnikmusic

Virtuosity can be impressive without being particularly enjoyable, and it's hard to shake the feeling that for all the potent-as-ever prowess here, Death Magnetic is more a stamp of authenticity than a complete record. – Billboard

Which brings us to the nub of what makes Death Magnetic such a resounding success. Death Magnetic could have dropped 15 years ago and been a logical conclusion to the "Black" album. Today, it emphatically brings Metallica full circle to an intriguing afterthought: what next? – musicOHM.com

    1st TLA payout

    Text-Link-Ads Cheque

It's nothing to boost about here lately, but yesterday afternoon, I received a mail from Text-Link-Ads, which contained my very first payout from using their publisher's service. It's not much, but a good starts as I only got USD27.81 from an ads placement sales at Red's Fury™ and thank you to Football Kits for their continuing supports.

My next step is to get the cheque cash out at bank. So, what are you waiting for? There are no gimmick, if you have a good website or blog, you can start earning money by selling some of your little precious space at your site like I do.

    Red's Fury™ (Blogspot) 1st Anniversary

    http://redsfury.blogspot.com/

Red's Fury™ was created on June 1st 2007 to carter the needs for a full sports blog whereas Windows™ Live Spaces failed to compliment my requirements. There has been ups and downs while using the Blogger service.

The ups are, you can do relatively anything with the service and you have total control from how it look, what to put in and so on. And the downs are the theme which I've been using for the blog went haywired and a scramble to fix the blog's theme was failed and almost convinced me to quit. During the countless weeks searching for a new theme, I've finally found the theme that suited me. Hence, the new-look Red's Fury™ 's theme being use till today was created by Carl Mason for WordPress and converted into a Blogger theme by JackBook.com. Another downs is the difficulties to understand the HTML which it took me some time to understand how to write simple HTML codes.

Red's Fury™ no relations to the movie back in 1984 or the New Jersey's rock band Red 7 Fury. The name for the blog was referred to Liverpool Football Club "Reds" and the "Fury" the angst of a Reds fan and his frustration after the club's barren runs in collecting the 19th league title. Been supporting the Reds for 21 years, imagine my frustration after watching and waiting for 19 years now since Liverpool FC last won the league title back in 1989.

Along the way, I've picked up some useful ideas of filling up the empty spaces in the blog. Monetized the available spaces with Google™ AdSense, ShoppingAds, Text-link-Ads and AffiliateFuture. There are many more publishers programs for you to choose from and earn revenues by placing ads to your blog. Have fun blogging while making money in the process.

Red's Fury™ is totally committed to gives its readers the latest happening, results, interaction, discussion, ranting and views from Liverpool Football Club. Most of the ideas or news are from my point of views and some are from the news aggregators. It's purely unofficial and independent blog site.

    Weekend Flava : Tamar

    Updated: Toluna poll added!

This is an unsigned video and song by Tamar. But I doubt it will remain unsigned any much longer cos this song can top any charts out there. Enjoy the video and music from this pretty Californian girl and I now present you "New Day".

    Verse:
Before the light I found the dark
    Before tonight I feel apart
Frozen up I’ve realized that something’s gotta change
It took a crash to understand
Time kept slipping through my hands
    I never used to know
The sun will shine after the rain

    Chorus:
Say goodbye, say goodbye to the way I was before
Say hello, say hello to a new way
I was lost, but I found what I was looking for
Waking up, waking up to a new day
    A new day

    Verse:
I was sleeping in a twisted dream
    Dying just to make believe
A pretty situation was far from where I was
But I’m not up for giving up
Lying down and out of luck
My mistakes are in the open and know I’m finally coming clean

    Chorus:
Say goodbye, say goodbye to the way I was before
Say hello, say hello to a new way
I was lost, but I found what I was looking for
Waking up, waking up to a new day
    A new day

    Bridge:
Cause everything, everything ends at the start
I’m healing and feeling all of my scars

    Chorus:
Say goodbye, say goodbye to the way I was before
Say hello, say hello to a new way
I was lost, but I found what I was looking for
Waking up, waking up to a new day
    A new day

Weekend Flava : Aly & AJ

Kinda boring this weekend and I've nothing to blog about. Can't wait for the MU v Liverpool (aka Ronaldo v Torres) Premier League match to start this Sunday. This video by Aly & AJ wasn't a new one but this song, Potential Breakup Song, quiet catchy and nice. It was from their Insomniatic album released on July 2007. Hope this cheers up your weekend, while I'm cheering for the red of Merseyside.

Album of the Month : Riot! - Paramore

    PARARIOT22

Paramore (pronounced "Par-a-more") (IPA: /'pærəmɔər/)) is a Grammy-nominated American pop rock band that formed in Franklin, Tennessee in 2004. After several lineup changes, Paramore now primarily consists of Hayley Williams (lead vocals/keyboard), Josh Farro (lead guitar/backing vocals), Jeremy Davis (bass guitar), and Zac Farro (drums).

Influenced by the likes of Jimmy Eat World and Sunny Day Real Estate, frontwoman Hayley Williams and lead guitarist Josh Farro are the group's primary songwriters. In 2005, the group released their debut album All We Know Is Falling, gaining a fanbase through touring and internet promotion of the singles "Pressure" and "Emergency". By 2007, the band gained mainstream notoriety with their second album Riot! which was certified gold. The first single, "Misery Business", has received wide radio airplay and allowed for MTV to feature the band in Artist of the Week segments during August 2007. With their early success, much attention is paid to the young age of the band members; their ages range from 17 to 23.

    800px-Hayley_Paramore

Riot! is the second studio album from the band Paramore, and was released in the United States on June 12, 2007 and in the United Kingdom on June 25, 2007.

The album was recorded in New Jersey with producer David Bendeth. The band decided to call the album Riot! because they liked its definition:

"A sudden outburst of uncontrolled emotion."

Riot! sold 42,000 albums in the U.S. in its first week, debuting at number #20 on the Billboard 200. Nearly 3 months later, it rose to #15 for the Billboard week dated September 1, 2007. That same week, the lead single, "Misery Business" rose to #34 as a re-entry on the Hot 100. Riot! also achieved some success in the UK reaching #24 on the albums chart. The album has sold (710,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan, and has been certified Gold in the U.S.

Fueled by Ramen re-released Paramore's Riot! on November 20th as an MVI (music video interactive) special edition. The album contained bonus tracks as well as bonus features such as live performances, and karaoke tracks to "Misery Business" and "Crushcrushcrush".
